AUTOMATED COMPOSITE PROCESSING

AUTOMATED COMPOSITE PROCESSING
20 - 21 - 22 October 2004

The European Technology Meeting for the Long Fibre Composite Industry

The
full conference brochure can be downloaded here (1.1 Mb) and a registration form.

Hardware Design
Processing long fibre-reinforced composites by methods such as: filament winding, pultrusion, pulwinding, tape-laying and alike processing technologies have become a well-accepted method within the composite industry. Regular advancements have been made over the years in hardware design. Today various specialized manufacturers offer fully engineered equipment. Turnkey plants are even offered, including mould or dies for engineered products and systems.

Software
An even more important factor for a successful technology leap was the introduction and acceptance of software programs specially designed for automated long fibre processes. Also special designed measuring sensors, feelers and auxiliary testing apparatus facilitates operating a modern and well-equipped automated composite processing plant.

COINCIDING WITH K-EXHIBITION
The conference is planned in the same week as the Worlds biggest Plastics Show, the K-Exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany. Over 2500 exhibitors show the latest advancements in thermoplastic processing. Composite Processing Equipment Manufacturers decided some years ago no longer to exhibit at the K-Exhibition. However many Composite Processors still visit the K-Exhibition. Consequently there is room for a special coinciding event to allow visitors to inform themselves of the latest technology developments. More information at http://www.k-online.de
Bus services are offered by Brisk Events to the K-Exhibition.

VENUE OBERBRUCH INDUSTRIEPARK
The Trade Show and Conference are held at the Oberbruch Industriepark Conference Center. The Industriepark Oberbruch houses many technological companies, such as Enka, Kuag Oberbruch and Tenax. The park is conveniently located near Düsseldorf and the borders of the Netherlands and Belgium. It is therefore a prime location for this event.
A limited number of shell scheme spaces (2 x 3 meter) is available. Exhibitors must provide their own display materials. A table (180 x 90 cm) will be furnished by the organizers together with an electrical powerpoint 240 volts. Floorplan is available on request.
